I was born and raised in Tulia, Texas and graduated from Tulia High School. I attended West Texas A & M University in Canyon, Texas and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where I graduated CUM LAUDE with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I have taught various elementary grades in Austin, Texas and Amarillo, Texas since receiving my degree. I have two children: Ashley and Brandon, and both of them attended Amarillo schools. They each have blessed me with two beautiful grandchildren. In 2001, I married Dennis McHugh. We are members of Hillside Christian Church. I love gardening, making things with my hands, and real estate. I am a member of the Amarillo Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
